Takeaways from Informatica World Tour 2025: Becoming AI ready

Informatica World Tour came to London on the 17th of September 2025, with a characteristically fascinating agenda, and a deep focus on AI readiness. Agile have attended IWT for many years and this year's venue at The Oval was particularly memorable, even if rain did stop play for a large chunk of the day it was a pleasure to attend such an iconic venue. As well as sessions focused on data governance, architecture, and platform modernisation, we really enjoyed the interactive cricket game and team photo booth. The whole room was buzzing with conversation and connection and it proved once again to be one of the highlights of our event calendar.

We've put together some of the highlights from the day and some key learnings.

Preparing data for full-scale AI adoption

AI adoption lives or dies by data, and the conference took deep dives into the data concepts, practices, and architecture that lay the groundwork for AI success:

  • Data Governance, which safeguards the security, accuracy, availability, and usability of data, to provide AI with the information that it needs to perform its tasks, and to ensure that nothing compromises its integrity or outputs
  • Cloud Modernisation, which offers scalable infrastructure in support of AI-driven innovation and the data demands that AI places on an organisation
  • Master Data Management, which creates a single source of truth, de-fragmenting and consolidating data for AI driven insights

Using Informatica tools to improve trust in AI and support decision making

One particular conversation which we had throughout the day was around adapting to an AI-driven world and placing genuine trust in AI. Many companies who spoke with us were wary of any efficiency gains of AI being written off if teams feel the need to monitor and review every single action that AI takes. Well-managed and connected data will allow AI to perform as desired, earning the trust of its users and delivering a return on investment, rather than simply replacing an old inefficiency with a new one.

We had a number of meaningful discussions emphasising the importance of putting the data groundwork in place, and using tools like Informatica’s CLAIRE AI agents to cut data classification time by up to 50%, make data discovery up to 100x faster, and improve productivity by up to 20%.

  • Architects and developers can automate data pipelines and quickly find the data assets that they need
  • Analysts and business users can get contextual understanding of business and customer data and access dataset recommendations
  • Data stewards can simplify everyday tasks with automated data classification, curation recommendations, and intelligent glossary association

Experts shared AI knowledge in showcases, roundtables, and networking

We particularly enjoyed the high number of sessions for networking, partner showcases, and roundtables which offered the opportunity for us to engage with clients and attendees and share our experiences, challenges, and solutions with data and AI.

Industry-focused roundtables gave delegates the opportunity to share their own AI ambitions and queries which created a real sense of alignment within the industry. Data leaders from the public sector, financial services, retail, manufacturing, and utilities got to share their concerns and expectations with data and AI, and to hear from their peers and from data leaders in interactive discussion sessions.

Agile’s Head of Practice - Data Management, Jason Bullen attended the conference, and was delighted at the agenda and the discussion on the day:

"It was fantastic to be part of Informatica World Tour 2025 in London. There is always a real buzz to these events, which is not surprising given the innovation behind it, the energy that people bring, and the levels of expertise and experience in the room. Agile has a long-standing partnership with Informatica, and it’s always inspiring to see how the collaboration continues to drive value. We’re excited to be helping organisations take the next step and become truly AI ready."
