Agile announces its inclusion

Agile joins the Leeds Tech Map 2026

Agile is proud to announce our inclusion in the Leeds Tech Map 2026, which was launched on Tuesday evening. The Leeds Tech Map is a visual guide to the city’s digital and technology ecosystem, bringing together hundreds of organisations across software, data, health tech, fintech and creative tech.

Originally produced in 2021, the Leeds Tech Map has returned with a refreshed and expanded 2026 edition. It is designed to make it easier to see, at a glance, who is building what in Leeds, and to help founders, investors, students, corporates and policymakers navigate the ecosystem. The map is intentionally visual, styled like an underground network, with different lines representing sectors and classifications across the Leeds tech scene.

The refreshed map is the brainchild of Stuart Clarke MBE, chair of Leeds Digital and founder of UK Tech Week, and this year’s edition is sponsored by ALT Legal and BHP.

Leeds continues to build a reputation for talent, innovation and a genuinely connected community. Being included in the Leeds Tech Map 2026 is a proud moment for Agile, recognising the work we deliver, and standing alongside fellow organisations shaping the region’s digital future.

John Ryan, COO at Agile, said:
“Leeds has a strong track record of turning smart ideas into real outcomes, and the Leeds Tech Map is a powerful way to showcase that. We are proud to see Agile included alongside so many organisations driving innovation across the region. The map makes it easier for people to find each other, collaborate faster, and build the kind of partnerships that help the whole ecosystem grow.”

Who is included and how the map is built

The Leeds Tech Map focuses on organisations with software development at the core of what they do, and where the majority of the tech team is based in Leeds. A key part of the 2026 refresh is the involvement of The Data City as the official data partner, supporting the map so it reflects the true breadth of the regional ecosystem.

What it means for the Leeds tech ecosystem

A visible, shared view of the ecosystem helps everyone. It supports discovery for buyers looking for partners, helps founders find peers and support, and gives talent a clearer picture of what opportunities exist locally. It also helps Leeds tell its story nationally and internationally, with the map previously used to show visitors what the sector looks like in practice.

Simeon Souttar, Commercial Director at Agile, added:
“The Leeds Tech Map turns a thriving ecosystem into something you can actually navigate. That matters because growth comes from relationships, trust, and collaboration. We are looking forward to connecting with more of the organisations on the map and supporting customers who want to innovate with strong local partners.”
